Futon Covers Galore has been making futons and futon covers since 1985. At the time we copied the quality of
OMNI futon covers. They were and still are one of the best quality manufacturers of futon covers, and they are
good people to deal with. They also have designs that we do not have. That said, we have the most inventory of
any of the cover manufacturers. We have several hundred designs and over a million yards of fabric in stock. We
are out constantly looking for deals on fabrics. As a large 7 store furniture dealer (specializing in water beds), in
Alaska from 1975-1982, (30 forty-foot trailers per month), we have a big advantage over all of our competitors, in
that we really understand what a retailer needs. We have been there with the customer screaming about a $75
night stand that was to go with his $10,000 order running other customers out, and our not getting any service from
the manufacturer, (we usually bought $20,000 per order). He didn't consider the night stand as much of a priority
when we normally made such large orders. It cost us the $10,000 in the end. Until we got the final signature we
could not get American Express to pay on the $4,000 charge, and of course the customer wasn't going to pay us.
We delivered all the furniture, waiting for the night stand. When people are having marital problems, one of the
things they tend to do is to go out and make large purchases, new car, house, etc. This was a new house and all
new furniture. Anyway the couple split up before we ever got the night stand, and we never got paid. We don't
know where the furniture ever got to.
Its a long story , but when you call up and say, we need two bolsters to go with that combo set we bought, you will
get a very fast response, as if you ordered a couple thousand dollars worth. Probably, these were going along with
a several hundred dollar or more sale.
Quality is first, then price. Once I solve the quality problem, I go out and find FIRST QUALITY goods, we do not
use seconds like many of our competitors. Many years ago I tried seconds to lower the price. I reasoned that we
would check out the fabric and cut around all the bad and make it good. WRONG!!! Some of the flaws are so
small that you just can't see them. BUT, that retail customer who is going to be sitting on it all the time WILL find
them. Sometimes it is just one thread of a different color that runs down through the fabric. Very unnoticeable on
a quick look But over time it will be seen.
Pillows, we started the pillow packs in 1987. At that time no one did pillow packs. Pillows were sold separately. We
sell you the pillows at or below our cost. That raises perceived value well above what the retail customer would
normally expect. He also is carrying out a much bigger package for his money. Covers only = big price, small
package. All our pillows and bolsters are zippered with inserts that are 20% larger than the shams. They will not
go flat a year later like most, and only 100% dacron polyester fiber is used. No cotton mix, or ground up rags with
fiber mix.
If there is a problem, we tell you exactly what it is. No twisting truths for answers that are designed to make it seem
better than it is, or blame someone else, etc. We shoot straight and there are no gimmicks. There are some who
will beat our price (not by much), but no way near the quality. No one beats our quality. We give your quality and
